YOG- Innsbruck 2012

June 25, 2008

I can proudly announce that Innsbruck is candidate city for the first Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) 2012. Last week the candidature file was shipped to Lausanne where also Harbin (China), Kuopio (FIN) and Lillehammer (NOR) have put their bids.
For the past 3 months I had the honorable role working for the bid as “director of athlete experience” and in this whole process we had a couple of very interesting workshops together with different experts. We were also working with a group of young athletes with diverse backgrounds and tried everything to conceptualize and create the best possible athlete experience for the 1st Winter YOG. The bidbook can be downloaded on www.innsbruck2012.com

The announcement of who will host the 1st winter YOG will be made in december 2008. Read more about this process here!

EURO 2008 in Innsbruck

June 19, 2008

After my arrival back here in Innsbruck last friday I had the feeling that I had come to a different city! The Euro 2008 had started with all the games and all the fans had arrived in the meantime. The vibes were and are still amazing! The fans from all the different countries seem to have a lot of fun together and the whole city is a big partyplace. Crazy pary and at the same time a very peaceful “come- together” :)
