Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2008!!!I’m leaving to Sweden tomorrow for 9 days to visit friends and relatives and ski a little bit in Sälen.Have a good time! 

I’M BACK!!!

Today was our raceday here in Telluride. It was -22°C in the morning but got warmer as soon the sun came out. I finished 2nd after leading for a long while and I’m really happy with my first race after the bad injury last year. I’M BACK and able to win races again- that feels great! The womens race was won by Ophelie David and Magda Ilians from Sweden was 3rd. Resi Stigler (the alpine skiracer / US Ski Team) was on the start too! She got a wild card for this event and we were in the same heat in the 1st round. Unfortunately she finished 3rd and didn’t make it to the semifinal.

Qualifiacation

Yesterday we had the qualification of the first Jeep King of the Mountain event here in Telluride. The course looks great- pretty flat in the beginning with a lot of rollers. The lower part has more turns ans 2 big jumps which is cool!  The race will be held on saturday. You can find more information to this event on www.jeepsports.com

Telluride

Aloha! After a loooong flight we finally arrived in Montrose late yesterday night (morning in Europe). We’ll continue up to Telluride and right now it looks like we can get some fresh snow up there  

Jeep King of the Mountain in Telluride, CO

Tomorrow I’ll be on my way to Telluride, Colorado for the first stop of the US Ski Tour/ Jeep King of the Mountain. For those of you who don’t know yet- the Jeep King of the Mountain and the US Ski Tour has merged this year.

Skiercross Camp in Kreischberg

Next week I’ll be  in Kreischberg for the first official Skiercross Camp of the Austrian Skicross Team. This will be the perfect preperation for our first race of the US Ski Tour in Telluride (Colorado) 14.-16.Dec. I’m really looking forward to race soon…
